Our Services

Therapy

Therapists utilize traditional talk therapy, psychoeducation, and other evidence-based techniques to focus on eating disorders as well as disordered eating. By setting goals with your therapist, you will be able to process and target any areas of life the eating disorder has impacted including but not limited to: perfectionism, negative body talk/body checking, emotion dysregulation, fear of failure, externalizing the eating disorder and finding your identity again in recovery. Therapeutic services are offered in the outpatient level of care on a weekly basis (or however often you and your provider decide once sessions begin) for 50 minute sessions. Therapeutic services are Out-of Network (OON). More information about fees and superbills can be found under the FAQ and Fees section of the website.

  • For all insurance providers, RecoverED is considered out-of-network (OON). You may be able to be reimbursed OON through your insurance provider. When checking with your insurance provider please consider the following questions:

Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

    What are my out-of-network benefits?

    Are teletherapy sessions covered?

What is my deductible and does it have to be met in order to receive reimbursement?

Is preauthorization required to receive services?

What is the reimbursement rate? (If they ask for codes you can give them 90791 for the initial therapy assessment, 90837 for a 53-60 minute therapy session, 97802 for an initial nutrition assessment, and 97803 for a nutrition follow up).

We are unable to offer single case agreements and all communication with the insurance provider is the responsibility of the client.

You will be given all of the information you will need in order to submit a claim to insurance in the form of a printed "superbill" at time of service. You will also be provided with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) at the start of treatment that will outline the anticipated costs of therapeutic services for 1 year. This GFE will be re-evaluated each year moving forward with treatment and an updated version will be provided. Good Faith Estimates are legally required by the No Surprises Act effective January 2022.

*Please keep in mind that your health and safety are our highest priority. If there proves to be a need for a higher level of care, we are ethically bound to make that recommendation and pause outpatient services until a higher level of care program has been completed. We will do our best to work with your full treatment team and provide suitable recommendations for placement if the need arises.*
